Private Traditional Burial
. . . are for those who would like to do "that something special" for their departed friend. Private Burial affords the privilege of visiting your Pet's individual burial site, making a selection from our many quality caskets, and choosing an appropriate memorial marker in bronze or granite. Arrangements can be made as simple or elaborate as you wish. Costs are reasonable depending on the type of service you select. Sleepy Hollow also offers optional seasonal or monthly floral remembrance services for your Pet's Memorial.
Private Burial Details—
Burial Sites vary in price depending on location and size of the site.
All private traditional burials are in approved caskets.
Caskets are priced depending on material, size, style and interior décor. Deluxe metal and stainless steel caskets can be ordered.
Caskets can be additionally protected with the option of fiberglass or concrete vaults.
Each private burial is charged a one time endowment fund contribution (see Endowment details)
Private Cremation
All Pets entrusted to Sleepy Hollow for this service are cremated separately. Cremated remains (cremains) may be scattered in our St. Francis of Assisi Garden or returned to their owner in a complimentary container. We also have a wide selection of Urns for those desiring the cremains be placed in this type of container. Other arrangements may include the interment of the cremains in a traditional burial site, interment beneath the boughs of a "memorial tree" dedicated in your Pet's name.
Private Cremation with Burial: Sleepy Hollow has special burial plots in several sections in which to place ashes following cremation. An above ground columbarium is also planned.
Country Group Service
A number of Veterinarians recommend this type of service to their clients. These clients are dismayed and concerned over the unpleasant "disposal" methods used by local government agencies. These are "people who care" but for one reason or another do not choose private burial or private cremation.
Our Country Group Service is quite economical and is
basically a community-type burial of multiplr pet cremated remains which
assures you that your beloved pet will rest peacefully through the ages amongst
friends. The Country Group Service interment does not take place on the
dedicated grounds of the park, therefore, no burial site markers or visitation
is possible. We do invite all pet owners to visit the park where they can see
THE GIFT OF LOVE MEMORIAL dedicated to all Pets who passed through Country
Group Service. This memorial is a large tablet bearing the words, "Let us thank God for those
special and much loved little creatures, our Pets, who have so brightened our
lives with their gift of love to us." Pets who have been
laid to rest in this manner may have their names memorialized on the Gift of
Love Memorial.
Pre-Need Planning
Thinking about the death of a loved pet is unpleasant of course, however, it may be something that you need to consider. Making arrangements and selecting a burial site before the loss can alleviate the future emotional stress of making arrangements at the time of need. With this in mind, you may wish to consult one of our staff at Sleepy Hollow who will be able to answer all of your questions. Convenient terms are available for those who wish to make payments over a period of time. Pre-arrangements can be completed with a visit to the park during office hours.
