About Us Sleepy Hollow
In 1986, a
Northern California Family was devastated to learn what had become of their
deceased pet’s remains when they had her euthanized.
They formed a company to provide cremation and
burial services for pets so that their North Valley Neighbors would be offered
a choice of disposition in the future. That single act served as the
cornerstone
for what was to become Northern California’s first and most
prestigious pet cemetery. Today, this beautiful hillside and glen location is
the final resting place for thousands of pets and memories, continuing a long
history of caring and excellence. We endeavor to make it a quiet place, a
beautiful place to let the memories flow. With the help of the Veterinary
community, we have made it’s perimeter a haven for Llamas unwanted by others
but loved here. No, our Llamas do not spit. Each year a troop of wild Turkeys
makes us their home for the breeding season. Egrets and Herons fish our pond.
We are constantly working with clients and friends to make Sleepy Hollow a
haven for wild pheasant, quail, doves and ducks. The idea is simple, Beauty
and Peace for our visitors as well as their loved
ones.
Our Commitment
The burial
grounds at Sleepy Hollow have been legally dedicated under
California and Shasta County laws. You are assured of the permanency of your
pet’s final resting place.
Sleepy
Hollow is operated by people who care about your feelings. We understand that
each human-to-pet relationship is special and unique. We feel a long list of
prices may have no meaning to those who have just lost their pet; especially
at a time when they are least equipped to deal with such matters. We want you
to choose only those services which you feel will provide a fitting and final
tribute to your pet.
